What Is The Best Health Insurance To Have If You Are United States Federal Government Employee And Why?

I have Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance. Should I keep this insurance? I checked with AARP through Hartford and they want between $299 to $428 per month for non drug related $5000 to $1000 deductible 80% coverage to $2500 co pay to 100% coverage. I pay about $250 per month now.

I would think what you are paying is a LOT of money but I don’t know anything about you. As they already replied you should do your own research…. surely whatever “quote” you get from Yahoo is just going to be worth nothing.
It takes just 5 minutes to check online..just go here http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-1768315-104…
click on right, enter details into the box and the system will look through a big number of insurers, pick what you like or try again.

My mom is in the same boat as you….she has Blue Cross Blue Shield also and her premiums are high compared to what they cover. She’s been calling around for the last year and has YET to find something better than what she has now. Her benefits suck (her words, not mine) and she can’t believe as a federal employee they are so bad. Apparently, the government doesn’t know how to negotiate health care plans with insurers any more than they know how to balance the budget.
